Why does IISE have glass-fronted buildings? or are they some solar energy harvesting panels? The pictures on their website show huge glass fronted buildings which, unless they are solar panels, does not gel well with an institution called indian institute for sustainable enterprise.

Wouldn't glass fronting, even if it is not for solar power harvesting, be a good idea for decreasing power consumption for lighting?
The amount of energy needed for lighting is far less than that required for air conditioning. It gets to about 40 C or more in summer(in fact for about half the year) in most parts of the country. Besides, judicious use of windows gives enough light and ventilation.
